What go best with a strong and punchy sake? Cannot think of a better candidate than miso.
Of course you can just scope out some miso paste from your fridge and that can turn into a delicacy with a bottle of rich and flavourful junmai (like the junmai genshu from our October box!) But in case you also want to serve a nice izakaya type of dish with this sake, please check out this simple (and healthy) recipe.

Miso Dengaku 味噌田楽
Ingredients
- Konjac 1 package
- Black sesame little bit
[miso sauce]
- Miso 2 tbs
- Mirin 1 tbs
- Sugar 2 tbs
- water 1 tbs
Instructions
- Cut the Konjac in pcs as you like
- prepare two pans
- Boil the Konjac in one pan for 2-3 mins
- make miso sauce in the other pan, mix miso, mirin, sugar and water and boil it to elaborate alcohol.
- serve the konjac on a place and put miso sauce on top of that
- sprinkle black sesame on the top
